We were a family of five looking for soothing foods for unhappy stomachs - getting over a bout of stomach flu. Zupa Toscana is what we wanted. However, we were a little leery after having read the reviews here. We decided to chance it and we were all very happy we did. The food was what we needed and the service was exceptional. Our server, "Britanania" (sp) started off by telling us her job was to spoil us, and she proceeded to do just that. She was sweet, attentive and stayed on top of our order - refills, etc. I would not hesitate to go back.

This is the 3rd time I have eaten here. It gets a little better each time. I am vegan and I choose Minestrone soup and Garden Primavera. They were both fresh and hot. They tasted great and had just the right amount of seasoning. A basket of fresh garlic bread sticks was served with the house salad. The bread was ok. It tasted garlicky but really it isn't any better than a make at home frozen quick garlic bread sticks. I didn't and fresh grated cheese on my meal but they did offer it. The staff was very nice and attentive. My father ordered the Lasagna Clasico. It sorta looked like a big gob of melted cheese and some sauce. My father said it was mushy and he wasn't very impressed. He won't order it again. He did love the salad and bread sticks. The Lasagna is why I took away a star. I took away another star for noise. I have been here 3 times and sat in different parts of the restaurant each time. It is still so noisy I have a hard time having a conversation across the table. You can even hear the kitchen noises. They really need to do something about that. All 3 times I have been here was because someone had given us a gift card, otherwise I most likely wouldn't take someone here.

Had a nice meal one Sunday afternoon recently when visiting Sierra Vista. The food was fine -- the usual Olive Garden fare -- but the service was outstanding. Our server was thoughtful, attentive, and more than cooperative with my special requests. One of the chefs dropped by our table just to check, noticed that the bruschetta was a tad overdone, and insisted on sending home with us one that was properly done, even though I protested (weakly, perhaps) that I actually prefer toasted food on the crispy-to-overdone side. As another reviewer said, "fast, simple, and clean" ... and to that I'd add SUPER service way beyond what one might expect at a fast-food, sit-down chain restaurant.

For price food was good and plentiful but service was lacking. We watched 2 other table seated well after us get not only served but eat finish and new table seated before we even had main course! Forgot one entree and only got refills on kids drink while waiting for change and box for leftovers.

worst OG experience ever. on the way back to Nogales from Bisbee we stopped to eat there in earliy 2011. The lady said we would need to wait about 10 minutes for a table. A family of 5 walked in and got seated right away. She then informed me a table would be ready in 30 minutes. I was like "are you serious" she said yes. I then informed her OG is not the only place to eat in Sierra Vista and started walking out. She stopped me and we were seated at a dirty table. I complained and they moved us to the area that was still closed. We both had endless soup and ceasar salad. It was ok but she dropped food and still tried to serve it. I will NEVER eat here again or reccomend it to anyone. If you really want OG go to Tucson.

Oh the ole OG, not original gangster, Olive Garden! I don't know why I like this place so much. OG puts out a great food in general and the SV one does pretty well. We come here about once every other week and 4 out of 5 visits we are satisfied with the food and service. Don't get me wrong, it's no Carrabba's, but I feel it is an apples to oranges comparison. Now being a chain sit down restaurant in SV can be challenging, finding professional wait staff and management is hard. You really could tell when OG opened that it was hard, this still lingers on occasion but has improved over the last year. The management and some wait staff spent time at the Olive Garden off i19 for training prior to opening. For starters we get calamari, soup and salad. The calamari has always been done well for us, lightly battered and crispy. Salad is nice but on occasion we need to ask for more house dressing. The soup, this has about a 70% success rate. I get the Zuppa Tuscana and it has been watered down or cold the other 30% of the time. Honestly the main reason I goto OG is for that soup and peach tea. If those are off I just feel empty inside. So we normally get some Five Cheese Ziti for the kids to share and I will normally get that or the steak gorgonzola. The Ziti is always on point, it is cooked well and full of flavor. They always divide it up for our two daughters to share, which lets me know our waiter is there to take care of us. The wife has never gone wrong with the chicken scampi. Creamy butter sauce and juicy chicken are what makes that plate. We don't deviate too much from these tried and true dishes and that might be why our food is always good. The reason for the no 5 stars is because of those times we come in and get crappy service or the soup is cold. The OG still struggles with staffing issues but not like the first 6 months. I'm so happy we have them in our town and hope this becomes a 5 start OG soon!

Fast simple and clean. The food is flavorful. The bartender was helpful and skilled at making both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. My food was hot and inexpensive. Dome folks speak poorly about Olive Garden but it's fast food, what are you looking for?

Ah, Sierra Vista, the veritable Promised Land of chain restaurants, where the franchises flow as the metaphorical milk and honey. I was at least moderately excited to hear that an Olive Garden was wending its way downstream to this area; I had been to the one in Kennewick while visiting my mother-in-law and found it to be decent. Not fantastic, granted, but perfectly acceptable and one of the better options in another area nearly bereft of good places to eat. Alas, even my moderate hopes were left wandering in the wilderness by the end of the evening. My husband and I came in on a Tuesday night; we were seated immediately, but waited a good twenty minutes for a server to even notice us. It was also extremely loud - we could barely hear each other even from across the table. As our meal progressed some of the dinner rush emptied out and the room became quieter; and, once our server finally arrived, she apologized for the wait and was prompt and friendly. Sadly, the food (ravioli for my husband, stuffed chicken marsala for me) was beyond redemption - bland, oversalted, and with almost no spices. Or as my husband put it, "I think their spice rack has two bottles. 'Salt' and 'Garlic Salt'." And so it came to pass that my husband and I decided never to spend our money at an Olive Garden again.

I was very excited when Olive Garden opened in Sierra Vista. Unfortunately, their wait staff are all new to the show... I've eaten here 4 times now hoping each time that my last bad experience was just a fluke. NOPE! This last time, will be the LAST TIME I eat here. After waiting 45 minutes at the table, we still didn't get water or bread; it went completely downhill from here. I ended up getting my soup after my entrée, which came out at the 1 1/2 hr mark! One would think a chain type establishment would provide their servers with better training. OR maybe the bustling metropolis of Sierra Vista doesn't provide a high level of employable personnel :-/ Sorry Olive Garden, this is just not acceptable. (In general I LOVE Olive Garden! :-) )

Our waiter Cody was great. He was very pleasant and attentive to myself husband and children. The food was very good and came promptly to our table. The manager even came over to make sure our service was going well. Very delightful experience over all.

Ate here 10/11. The service was very slow, but they apologized for it and gave us 10% off our bill. Place seemed very busy, perhaps that was the reason. I ordered the combination pizza and it was done well.

I like this place a lot. They are very accommodating to your menu choices and the service has been top notch. The only reason for 4 stars is that they have been making a lot of menu changes and some of the dishes I enjoyed are gone. I do like some of the new selections as well so I suppose there has to be a trade-off. The appetizers are pricey though which is a downer for me since I love them. With six in my family, the bill adds up fast.

We decided to check this place out since they have that new 3 course dinner. It's really a marketing scheme since you are getting the dessert for free or you pay for a little bit depending on your entree since you already get a soup or salad with your entree. We decided to go in around 5 pm since based on previous experiences with OV, they typically get busy fast and soon the service starts to slack. We want to give a shout out to our server Cierra. She had a personality for miles and had just started working at OV. She was intrigued to learn and excited with the information I passed to her about the different wines. Her smile was very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience since the food was average.

I am only reviewing the SV Olive Garden because of the ridiculous experience I had today. Our party of 6 was waited on by no less than 4 different people. Our main server (I guess) apologized for so many people coming to the table (after she suggested a member of our party eat off the adjacent salad plate to save money). She said something about having an assistant server to help her, but really I think the other server was to prevent her from telling her life story which she attempted nearly 3 times. -And then there was a terrible attempt at a sommelier who didn't have a whole lot of knowledge of wine. She tried though, but picked the wrong table of winos to mess with. The wine she claimed was exclusively for the Olive Garden I just found online. The food actually was decent and despite the near comedy routine, the servers were kind and prompt and the restaurant was clean.

Horrible, horrible experience. 1 hour to get seated, and I kid you not, over 2 1/2 hours just to get our food. Granted it was a party of 16 but that amount of time to wait is ridiculous. We sat and watched party after party (8-10 people per) get sat, fed and dessert while we got fat off of breadsticks and peach tea! Manager did comp us but it took an act of congress. I highly do not recommend this particular Olive Garden, and trust me, I love me some OG's. Kills me to say that but I won't be eating there anymore.

Lunch today at Olive Garden -Kyle was our server. He did an awesome job, took really good care of us. We didn't have to remind him what we ordered. Made sure to keep the soup & drinks refilled. Thanks Kyle. We love O.G. but you gave us a reason to keep coming back.

Tonight my wife and I decided to give the newly opened Olive Garden a try. Did we think we would be seated the day after opening?, ABSOLUTELY NOT, but we had a backup plan which was ol' reliable Chipotle. Nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised when the hostess stated a 15 minute wait but less than five minutes later, the vibrator started vibrating and blinking too! We were shown to our seats which were located somewhat in the middle of the front dining area. I didn't get a chance to explore the decor because there were patrons everywhere and the restaurant staff were shuffling about in a discombobulated state. For starters I've never been to an Olive Garden this raucous! The two dudes to the left of us mistook tonight for Happy Hour at Rendevous. They were throwing back brews and throwing pickup lines at the waitresses in rapid succession. The family to the right of us had a toddler meltdown that couldn't be controlled. A couple from the huge party in front of us were reenacting scenes from the movie Jungle Fever and were lipped locked in between sips of wine. With all of this going on, of course we had a few mishaps but nothing you wouldn't expect from a restaurant that has been open for less than 48 hours. All things considered, we had a pleasant time. The food, drinks, dessert and entertainment were great! Five stars is appropriate for a restaurant that has been open for only two days. From this point forward, its their stars to lose.

I have always loved OG! But u can't compare the Sierra Vista store w/ others! Everything about it is horrible!! We did call ahead seating and still waited 20 minutes to get in! They changed our server 3 different times! They took 45 minutes to bring our drinks. They messed up our orders didn't refill our drinks and we found a long black hair stuck to the bottom of one of our bowls! It was disgusting! The manager did comp our check but it does not make up for such a bad experience! Think twice before u eat here, I know we will!

The service was lacking. It took over 20 minutes to get seated. There where open seats but it looks like their understaffed. Once seated it took another 20 minutes for a server to greet our table. The food was... Well I won't go there. It's not real ITALIAN FOOD... It's Italian Inspired... For some Real Italian Food try Maggiano's in Scottsdale... And call their corporate offices and request they put one here in Sierra Vista once Olive Garden goes out of business... They should just call this place All you can eat Soup and Salad...LMAO

Placed a "to-go" order online and was given an 8PM pickup time. Arrived 10 minutes early and was offered a place at the bar (politely declined). Paid/tipped and within a few minutes my order was ready for me. Food was good and did not spend time under the heat lamps, service was good. Salads were HUGE!

We went to Olive Garden for dinner on Saturday, 27 December 2014. We were very impressed! The restaurant looks like it's only a few month old. Everything in it looks new and clean. It's located in a new looking strip mall across the parking lot from Walmart (which also looks fairly new). Kat was our waitress. She was friendly and very efficient. It seemed like we got next food item as soon as we finished the current one. The pace of the meal was perfect. When we were in the Denver area, it cost us almost $60 to eat at Olive Garden. Last night's dinner was almost $40. Much better value in Sierra Vista and we are very likely to return. My wife and I split the Chicken Parmesan. Delicious! Doesn't get much better than that. Our kids had the kids spaghetti and meatballs. Judging by the almost empty plates at the end of the meal, I'd say that was a hit. We will definitely be returning and asking for Kat to be our waitress again.

Today a group and I visited the local Olive Garden, the food was very good and our server Bryana was extremely helpful and often visited the table to fill up our drinks and ask us about our meals. Halfway through the meal I discovered a small hair and although the food was delicious I had lost my appetite. The manager Jean had come out and apologized for the accident and offered to go to the kitchen and prepare the meal himself. I told him that it wasn't necessary and understood accidents do happen after working years in the food industry myself. Upon receiving our checks I found I was not charged and Bryana brought a complete meal to go. The service was exceptional and the gesture was very kind, I will definitely recommend this Olive Garden in the future for the delicious food and exceptional hospitality.

Have you ever asked yourself, where can I get overcooked pasta with a bland sauce just dumped on top? Well don't worry folks because your question has been answered. Just head on over to the "Italian Inspired" Olive Garden. I am no foodie and I don't claim to have some awesome refined palate, but I am continuously astonished that OG stays in business. I have had better lasagna out of a Stouffers box. Is it the unlimited greasy breadsticks that keeps bringing people back or is it the fast food like quickness since their dishes are all pretty much premade and just need heated up. They do make a pretty tasty salad, but you can get the recipe online and make it at home along with a better "Italian Inspired" meal than you would get at OG. Unless you really do want to pay for overcooked pasta with bland sauces.

I am only bumping my stars on this location because they have a new manager and things have changed for the better. Last 2 visits were pleasantly a nice welcoming environment. Food was good, service was good and I left happy. Keep it up, the new manager is doing something right.

I would give this place two stars, but I'm gonna try and be fair here. They are on the newer side, so its understandable. I also came on a packed day, Mother's Day... even more understandable. First off, what happened to the quality of food over the years? I used to LOVE their bread. Now it's .... eh. And what happened to bringing out olive oil, salt and vinegar for the bread? Let's just up the prices but take away all the "additional things".... cool. The food tastes cheaper and cheaper as the years go by. I feel like I'm eating plastic. Nice. The place was packed. Not gonna rate that since it was a holiday. Now for the good things: Our server was awesome. Kinna "fake acting" but definitely nice and respectable. She even hooked us up with sharing salad and soup without charging because I didn't like my salad. We were even able to box up the soup and salad that we finish, even if we requested more. Now THAT'S SERVICE. She deserved her doubled-up tip fully. The deal was awesome. One was unlimited salad or soup. BOMB on-a-budget or i-love-eating-alot deal. Good ambiance. Comfortable seating, etc. Not too bad.

I'm giving it two stars because my kids enjoy eating here. Food is good when the attention is given to cooking. Service is good when the waitress cares or acts like they care. Today was the second service we've had that was bad. First service - found hair inside my soup and tiramisu was frozen. We've returned since, because we do enjoy the food. And plus the manager comped most of the meal. Today, we got the wrong appetizer, my daughter didn't get her chicken, and then my husbands Chicken Toscano came with maybe two leaves of spinach. When we asked what was the deal, they gave my husband raw spinach on the side. So, I asked to speak with the manager, and he just made excuses left and right. He did offer chicken to my daughter, but a lil too late. I wasn't looking for a comp, but maybe more sincere of an apology. Will we come back? Maybe one day, but not anytime soon.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
